Colorado Springs, Colo. – March 27, 2020 – Lee Spirits Company, a leading distiller of pre-prohibition American dry gin, fine liqueurs, North American blended whiskey, and vodka, has begun utilizing its distillery as a temporary manufacturer of hand sanitizer to support individuals living in El Paso County.

Today, the company has manufactured 1,000 two ounce bottles of hand sanitizer with 900 of the bottles being given to El Paso County Public Health for distribution to their partners. The remaining 100 bottles will be available for free to the public (1 per person) at the group’s tasting room – Brooklyn’s on Boulder Street – Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. when the facility is open for to-go bottle sales.

“There is a need for health-related products across El Paso County and the nation,” said Nick Lee, Co-founder of Lee Spirits. “Our team was able to quickly pivot spirit operations into making hand sanitizer and are hopeful the first 1,000 bottles help meet a countywide need. We have had many discussions around manufacturing additional bottles in the coming weeks and our team can quickly return our distillery to making hand sanitizer if needed.”
